A Bentley College graduate and a Massachusetts Certified Mediator, Richard Kennedy's
commercial banking career spanned a period of over six decades in the Boston and
New England marketplace. A well known and highly respected banker, half of Mr. Kennedy's
career was spent at the senior management level during periods of thriving economies
to recessions to unparalleled high interest rates.
Richard's vast network of real estate investors, developers and banking colleagues,
is further enhanced by his ability to negotiate complex financing transactions in
a clear and objective style. Richard's inside knowledge of the lending philosophy
of several local and regional banking institutions, the commercial banking industry
generally and regulatory statutes, affords him with a thorough and unique understanding
of the issues facing a commercial loan officer when reviewing a lending opportunity,
thus streamlining the application process to the benefit of the FinanceBoston client.
Recognized by his peers as an excellent business developer and high revenue producer,
Mr. Kennedy was equally recognized in the legal community for his ability to negotiate
sensible Loan Modification Agreements on problem loans to local, regional and national
borrowers in and out of the Federal Bankruptcy Court system. Mr. Kennedys capacity
in reaching sound banking decisions in the work out area is clearly demonstrated
by the continued profitability of his banks loan portfolio at a time when local
and national bank failures were occurring at an accelerated pace.
